Pretty Pairing

I love tote bags. They're fun and functional. My real trouble with them is that they're so easy to throw things into that I don't always get around to clearing them out. It gets a bit grub down at the bottom. But then it's time to just shop for a new one, right? (kidding) But whether I really need a new one or not, I'd still like to grab this tote and pair it with these earrings.

Pretty Pairing

Good morning! Here's a beautiful little clutch that I think would make a fun pair with my Heart Hair Pins in Neon Pink and Gold. Also, another look with a clutch and neon pairing.

More heart hair pins here.

Pretty Pairing

Hello! I was about to ask how your weekend was when I realized that we're already half-way through the week! It's been busy here and I've missed popping in as often as I normally do. So, to pick back up where I left off, we were dealing with my youngest C having violent episodes of yuckiness. The good news? He's doing great; it only lasted 6 hours; we slept through the night and it didn't travel to anyone else. Consequently, we were also able to take a quick trip out of town. My husband had work meetings in Carlsbad and we went with him to visit Carlsbad Caverns. If you haven't heard of them, the caverns are just enormous and beautiful. It had been years and years since I was last there and it was really cool to see the boys react as we hiked down the dark path into the caverns. My husband was taking tons of pictures so maybe I'll be able to share some later in the week. Anyway, I'm back and hopefully able to begin posting again on a regular basis.

Despite the freak hail storm that we traveled through on the way home (!), things are starting to feel pretty summery here. Or perhaps it's just my wishful thinking. At any rate, this tank says summer to me. I think it would make a pretty pair with my little bloom earrings in red.

Pretty Pairing

Amidst these busy days, I've been savoring moments with my loved ones...taking time to snuggle on the couch with my two younger C's; taking my middle C to the store and joking around the whole trip; and taking extra time to sit and read aloud to all 3Cs. Precious time with my little ones who will not remain little for much longer. And then my mom and I stole away for the rare treat of a girls' night out. My mom took me shopping for my birthday and we had a great time talking and laughing and trying on clothes. We both got a flowing top or two and I nearly got an asymmetrical skirt (I like the one from Toast down below!) but opted for a little black summer dress instead. I almost never find dresses that fit right (I'm more of a skirt girl), so it was a nice surprise to find a dress that I like and I had to take advantage. But I'm mostly drawn to two piece outfits and I love the combination below. I would like to pair my Heart of Gold Ring with this outfit throughout spring and summer.

Or for an entirely different look, I'd like to pair little pops of color, like these, with this summery outfit.

Pretty Pairing

We've had an absolutely beautiful week of spring weather. Since my nephews and niece have been on spring break, we've spent the last couple of afternoons playing outside in the wonderful sunshine. The weird thing is that we had a snow storm last weekend and I've heard that the possibility of more snow is looming for this weekend. Fortunately, no matter what the temperature is, we live in a place that is sunny all the time. So, sunglasses are an everyday necessity. And I would love to welcome these TOMS Classic 301 sunglasses into my everyday wardrobe. I also think they'd make a pretty pair with these little bloom earrings in cerulean.

Pretty Pairing

Color blocking is everywhere so why not in a Pretty Pairing? I think my Black Rough Cut Flower Ring would make a cute pair with this pomegranate juice colorblock sweater.

Pretty Pairing

Despite spending some time outside today playing with my 3Cs, I'm feeling cold right now and wishing that spring would hurry along a bit. And nothing says spring like the soft folds and pretty pleats of a skirt. I think either of these beautiful skirts from Anthropologie would pair nicely with my latest pair of hair pins...

As you can see, my obsession with charcoal gray and yellow is still alive and well.

Pretty Pairing

We've had some warm weather this month but the last couple of days have been pretty chilly. It has me longing for warm spring days. I came across Gillian Tennant on Oh Joy! and I love her collection. I think my Ice Blue Flower Ring would make a pretty spring pair with the Flutter Sleeve Blouse. Here's to an early spring wherever you are!

Pretty Pairing

I saw this photo on Tomboy Style and couldn't get it out of my head.

I'm going to pair this beautifully casual look with my Indigo Blossom Ring. Just cuz. I don't think she's lacking a thing. But then again, I like to think a little blossom on your hand is always a welcome addition.

Pretty Pairing

I've had a really hard time paring down this Pretty Pairing. So I decided to not edit my list. I know, I know. It's because I'm totally biased when it comes to my Charcoal Gray Flower Necklace. I admit it. I simply love this necklace and I think it goes with just about everything...

I think it could go high style for an evening out...

Ruche

And I think it would pair nicely with a more casual knit dress...

Garnet Hill

And, of course, it would feel right at home with a feather-light cardi...

Pretty Pairing

I don't know about you, but I find myself putting my jewelry here, there and everywhere. I currently have some necklaces and earrings hanging from a frame and the rest is scattered among little bowls and baskets. But wouldn't a jewelry tree like this one make a pretty place to collect all of your little treasures? The Purple Big Bloom ring isn't yet in my Shop but I think it would perch nicely on this tree. And wouldn't the Golden Nest Ring look right at home on this little tree?

I also like this tree.

p.s. More new rings to come.

Pretty Pairing

I absolutely love this outfit! From the boots to the bag to the neutral palette to the sunglasses to the scarf to the sweater...what's not to love here. In my humble opinion, I think the Heart of Gold Ring would pair quite nicely with this outfit.

Pretty Pairing

I've been looking at girls' dresses lately for my niece. I stumbled across Olive's Friend Pop and I think these lovely modern vintage items would pair nicely with the Pink Little Bloom Earrings.

Pretty Pairing

One of the things I enjoy about having long hair is experimenting with different styles, including the messy bun. To keep my locks in place, I'll stick a bobby pin in here and there. Wouldn't the Winter White and Gold Hair Pins tuck in nicely with a messy bun?

Pretty Pairing

Isn't this a fun outfit? I love the colors, those cute jeans, the scarf, the earrings and...well, everything. The shoes might present a bit of a challenge for me but I could sit down and look cute, right? In my ideal world, I'd pair my Winter White Mosaic Flower Ring with this outfit and stylishly embrace the coming colder weather.

Pretty Pairing

The colder weather that's been blowing in this week has me thinking about keeping warm with lovely scarves. And this beautiful cream and navy indie scarf looks just about right. Wouldn't this scarf make a pretty pair with the Indigo Petals Ring?

Pretty Pairing

Bringing together two vibrant colors like turquoise and red can be daunting; but when it's done well, I really like the two together. This outfit seems to find that good balance. (And doesn't that tunic look like it's softer than soft?) Wouldn't this tunic and scarf pair nicely with the Shimmery Red Blossom Ring? As for earrings, I think these or these would be charming companions. What do you think?

Pretty Pairing

I love this Wrap London tunic and cardigan. Wouldn't the Turquoise Blossom Ring be a pretty pairing?

You can find the tunic here and the ring here. Tunic first seen at the lovely Bliss.
Update - the Turquoise Blossom ring has found a new home but can be custom ordered.
